Hong Kong- STAR has appointed Todd Lituchy as President, Entertainment. Based in Hong Kong, he will oversee STAR’s program planning, production, network creative services, research and scheduling functions. Lituchy joins the company at the end of 2007 and will report to Laureen Ong, COO, STAR. Adding to STAR’s team in Hong Kong are David Searl, Senior Vice President, Production, and Donovan Castillo-Mohlman, Vice President, Program Strategy and Acquisitions. Reporting to Lituchy, Searl will advance STAR’s production capabilities while Castillo-Mohlman will develop programming strategies and acquisitions for the company. Ong said, “As we prepare to go deeper into the markets in which we operate, the need to raise our production and programming capabilities has become apparent.” Lituchy joins STAR from European broadcaster Viasat, where he was President, Entertainment for the last three and a half years and was Senior Vice President, Programming & Acquisitions prior to that overseeing creative development, program planning, scheduling, and acquisitions.
