Culver City- Sony Pictures Television International (SPTI) has signed format deals for with Australia’s Nine Network, Chile’s Chilevision, France’s TF1 and Greece’s Mega for local versions of U.S. game show Power of 10. Also, the US version of the show was sold to On Style channel from Korea’s On Media, and Canada’s Global. The format and the US version of the series will be available at MIPCOM 2007. Created by producer Michael Davies of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire-fame from Embassy Row Productions, Power of 10 is a high stakes, studio-based game show in which contestants’ knowledge of public thinking and opinion is tested for a cash prize. Questions are based on large-scale professional polling results and the show covers all aspects of each country’s thoughts on topics from politics to pop culture Each version of Power of 10 will be produced locally using surveys customized for that country. Local hosts will be selected by respective broadcasters and broadcast dates will vary. The show is already airing on Global, while On Media’s On Style channel will air at a later time.
