Cannes – Comcast International Media Group (CIMG) marked its MIPCOM debut with a number of licensing deals in Asia Pacific. Premier titles from E! Entertainment Television, The Style Network, G4 and Versus, totaling 1,240 hours, have been licensed in Australia, China, India, Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines and Thailand. Deals were announced today by Christine Fellowes, managing director, Asia Pacific, CIMG. Highlights include E! Forbes Specials licensed to Network Ten and Girls of the Playboy Mansion to Nine Network in Australia. China’s CCTV7 has acquired Future Fighting Machines (G4), while E! News and 25 Most Memorable Swimsuit Moments have been picked up by India’s Zee Cafe, Zee Studio and Zee Trendz. In Korea, Catch On has licensed Behind the Scenes, while On Style has acquired over 180 hours of premiere content, including E! News for the first time ever in the territory. 8TV in Malaysia has picked up Style Her Famous; New Zealand’s C4 has licensed House of Carters and episodes of The E! True Hollywood Story; Thailand’s Gsquare has licensed 100 hours of top G4 content including Cheat! and Cinematech.
