Hong Kong – KidsCo, the global joint venture children’s TV channel owned by NBC Universal (NBCU), DIC Entertainment (DIC) and Corus Entertainment Inc.’s Nelvana Enterprises has inked a content deal to carry programming from BBC Worldwide. Airing from January 2008, KidsCo will feature BBC Worldwide’s series including S Club 7 in Miami & LA, Wallace and Gromit, Ace Lighting and Five Children & It. Rolling out in Asia from early 2008, KidsCo will be available in the Philippines on SkyCable. Outside Asia, the channel is currently broadcasting in Romania, Hungary, Russia, Turkey, and Poland, and will also expand distribution across Eastern Europe from next year. Paul Robinson, Managing Director of KidsCo, said, “We know these shows have committed fans and with KidsCo it means that children and families the world over will be able to find great titles all under one roof.”
