Sydney- Veteran ABC journalist Jim Middleton is moving to the ABC’s cable and satellite service Australia Network as chief presenter of its flagship daily current affairs program, Asia Pacific Focus. The ABC’s long-serving chief TV political correspondent and editor in Canberra, Middleton will take up the new role after the Federal election expected to be held in November. Asia Pacific Focus is broadcast to 41 countries in the region and is available in more than 20 million homes. It’s produced for Australia Network by the ABC out of its Melbourne newsroom.
