NEC Corporation is sponsoring ‘Be the Change’, a CNN online and on-air initiative to showcase volunteers working to better others’ lives with six male and female volunteers posting blogs and videos of their lives and jobs. With NEC’s sponsorship running for a year starting this month, the content generated by the volunteers will harness CNN International’s global reach, multiplatform services and technology to be broadcast worldwide and featured online at www.cnn.com/bethechange ‘Be the Change’ highlights the voluntary work which includes building a sports complex for a disadvantaged South African community and aiding abused Cambodian youth. A video diary from one contributor will be a weekly segment on CNN International, while blogs from the rest will be hosted on the specially-produced website which also provides biographical sketches and links to their organizations and photo galleries. The website will be interactive and allows visitors to comment and post questions to and for the contributors.
