It looks like the ramifications of NBC Universal’s acquisition of Sparrowhawk Media won’t be felt in the Asia Pacific for some time. Andrew Hanna, Managing Director, Asia Pacific, Sparrowhawk Media, says various regulatory checks and approvals have to be obtained over the coming weeks. “As with any integration, the organisation, staffing structure and locations from both the NBCU and Sparrowhawk sides will be carefully assessed,” he tells Television Asia. “This will take place consultatively over the next 3-6 months after completion of the deal. “Being part of the NBC Universal family means that many more resources are available in terms of creative product and programming that is both produced by the network and acquired. Hallmark Channel viewers will benefit as the channel can draw upon new world-class creative resources.”
