Singapore- CNBC’s flagship morning program Squawk Box on the Road: New Zealand will be sponsored by New Zealand Trade and Enterprise for the week starting Oct. 15 2007. The campaign will feature Squawk Box broadcasting live from Auckland and Wellington, preceding the Rugby World Cup Final in Paris. The sponsorship will be complemented by a three-month on-air advertising campaign. CNBC’s anchor Martin Soong will be in New Zealand to interview business, political and opinion leaders as well as business analysts on the country’s economic and financial climate. Also, a 30-minute special will be produced for airing on the weekend of Oct. 27-28. New Zealand Trade and Enterprise partnered with CNBC Asia Pacific in February when it sponsored a themed series of CNBC’s Managing Asia which featured leading corporate figures in New Zealand.
