Singapore – The Asian Food Channel (AFC) has appointed Deepak Mirpuri as Head of Ad Sales and Marketing with immediate effect. Mirpuri boasts over 22 years of experience in media buying/planning, sports marketing and airtime sales in the UK, India and Asia. Starting out with Thames TV in the UK, he spent 10 years on the agency side with Initiative Media and Carat UK. In Asia, Mirpuri has enjoyed stints with Star TV’s Channel [V], sports channel ESS, World Sports Group, and most recently Discovery Networks Asia as VP of Sales Asia. “This is a key strategic hire for us and is important in aiding our continued expansion across the regional markets,” commented Maria Brown, AFC Managing Director.
