Sydney- The Seven Network’s ratings dominance is paying off handsomely as its share of the commercial FTA networks’ advertising revenues in the first half of 2007 reached 39.18%, the highest-ever for the broadcaster, excluding the second half of 2000 which was boosted by the Olympic Games. Seven’s share was up on the corresponding half in 2006 (36.42%), while Nine’s 32.72% was down from 35.58%, while Ten’s 28.1% was up slightly from last year’s 27%. Buoyed by the robust economy, the FTA industry’s gross ad revenues nationally for the first half totalled A$1.74 billion (US$1.54 billion), up 6.57% on last year. Regional broadcaster’s revenues were up by 8.53%, while the haul in the five metro markets improved by 6%.
