Kuala Lumpur– Universal Music Group has upper Sandy Monteiro to Senior Vice President, Universal Music South East Asia. Reporting to Max Hole, President, Asia Pacific Region, Universal Music Group International, Monteiro is responsible for Universal Music operations in Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia and the Philippines with the heads of those territories reporting to him. Based in Kuala Lumpur, Monteiro retains his roles as Managing Director, Universal Music Malaysia as well as Vice President, Digital, Universal Music South East Asia excluding China. He joined as Managing Director in Malaysia in 2002 before assuming responsibilities for the company’s digital business in South East Asia in 2006. The heads of Universal Music companies in Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Japan, New Zealand, South Africa, South Korea and Taiwan continue to report directly to Max Hole.
