Singapore– National Geographic Channel Asia’s premiere of In the Womb: Twins, Triplets and Quads topped the factual-entertainment channels chart across Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan and India. The 2-hour documentary follows the stories of three expectant mothers from conception to birth and looks at the interaction between the foetuses. Its June 24 premiere was preceded by an integrated marketing campaign encompassing on-air promotion, online interactive and cinema screenings in Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia. More than 200 entries were received for the In the Womb: Twins Contest as on-air promos and vignettes showcased two pairs of twins and a set of quintuplets. Some 8,000 votes were cast for the categories of Most Indistinguishable Twins, Most Inseparable Twins and Most Irresistible Twins. In the Womb: Twins, Triplets and Quads was the top international documentary program for the day in Singapore, the centrepiece of an ‘In the Womb’ theme week as more than 225,000 Singaporeans watched the specials between June 24 and July 1, including 14% of women between 15 – 44.
