Sydney, July 2 2007- Foxtel will screen Fox series The Rules for Starting Over and K-Ville within days of their U.S. broadcast. This follows the Seven Network’s announcement last week that it would broadcast the next series of Prison Break and Heroes later this year directly after their U.S. launches. Foxtel was quick to point out it first flagged the “day and date” strategy in May 2006, when the Fox/Foxtel/Network Ten deal was announced. The Rules for Starting Over is from the Farrelly Brothers (Something About Mary, Dumb and Dumber, Me, Myself and Irene), while K-Ville is a police drama set in New Orleans from writer and executive producer Jonathan Lisco (NYPD Blue, The District). Foxtel Executive Director of Television and Marketing, Brian Walsh, said: “20th Century Fox has delivered a vibrant slate and I am thrilled that FOXTEL will bring Australian audiences some of the most anticipated and marketable shows to come out of this year’s L.A. screenings. And instead of keeping our viewers waiting, we’ll air the series within days of their screening in the States.”
