Paris- The MIPCOM Mobile and Internet TV Awards will establish its presence in virtual world ‘Second Life’ that serves as an information resource. The contest is free and open to professionals worldwide with the deadline for submissions set for July 30, 2007. The awards’ nine categories include Best Short Form Audiovisual Entertainment made for Mobile and/or Internet for the genres of drama, comedy, lifestyle/music and factual; Best Cross Platform & interactive Mobile TV Format; Best Made-for-Mobile TV or Film Channel; Best Mobile service for Social Community & User-Generated Content; Best Short Film originally Created or Repurposed for Mobile; and Best Film shot on a Mobile Device. Nominees will be announced in September and the winners will be presented be presented the awards on October 10, during the 22nd edition of MIPCOM.
