Hong Kong– Celestial Pictures has launched Kung Fu TV, a mobile TV channel featuring original kung fu content from Celestial’s Shaw Brothers film library on Advanced Info Service (AIS), Thailand’s mobile network system provider. Updated weekly, Kung Fu TV’s programming format consists of ‘bite-size’ segments ranging from 30 seconds to 3 minutes, including video clips of fight sequences, music videos, action movie trailers, animated wallpapers and video ringtones. William Pfeiffer, Chief Executive Officer of Celestial Pictures, says there are plans to roll out the channel in Malaysia and other territories in the near future.
