Hong Kong– Celestial Pictures has localized its 24-hour Chinese movie channel Celestial Movies for Indonesia from July 1, 2007, with all movies subtitled and on-air promotions dubbed in Bahasa Indonesia. According to William Pfeiffer, Chief Executive Officer, Celestial Pictures, Indonesia is an important market for the company and Celestial Movies’ feed will continue to be upgraded with further investment in programming. Over 500 movies including 200 first-run and recent releases are exclusively premiered on Celestial Movies in a year. The channel airs international titles from Japan, Korea and the rest of Asia in addition to Chinese films. Launched in 2003, Celestial Movies is currently available in 12 territories across Asia-Pacific including China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Brunei, Thailand, Vietnam, Australia and New Zealand.
