Singapore– Singapore companies at BroadcastAsia (June 19-22) are showcasing new services, applications and tools in mobile broadcasting, IPTV and HDTV. Eight companies will introduce prototypes and concepts developed under the Media Development Authority of Singapore’s (MDA) Digital Technology Development Scheme (DTDS) that provides funding support for the development of original and innovative products or concepts. Themed “New Digital Media Landscape”, the 1,000 sq m Singapore Pavilion is the largest-ever and gathers a record 41 digital multimedia companies demonstrating new made-by-Singapore technologies. The three companies awarded mobile TV trial licenses in 2006 are participants: PGK Media will showcase its mobile broadcasting solutions including ‘Picture Radio’, a multi-band multimedia digital radio that can receive terrestrial signals via Digital Audio Broadcasting (DAB), Terrestrial-Digital Multimedia Broadcasting (T-DMB) and Digital Video Broadcasting-Terrestrial (DVB-T) platforms.
