Sydney- Broadcast solutions group, Radio Frequency Systems (RFS) has been appointed by Vietnam's national broadcaster, Vietnam Television (VTV), to provide the complete RF systems for a 12-site network expansion of the country's analogue television network.

Comprising upgrades to 12 existing VTV sites, the upgrade will see coverage of the country's science, technology and education channel, VTV2, and its sports and entertainment channel, VTV3, extended nationwide.

RFS will supply complete end-to-end passive broadcast solutions, comprising broadband UHF and VHF antenna systems, UHF channel combiners, RFS HELIFLEX flexible air-dielectric coaxial  transmission line, patch panels, plus rigid transmission line and RF accessories.

The project includes training of VTV personnel, both in Vietnam and at RFS's Broadcast Centre of Excellence in Melbourne.

Final commissioning of all 12 sites is scheduled to be completed before the year's end.
