Singapore – Cast and crew of Korean drama Que Sera Sera just wrapped a five-day shoot under Singapore Tourism Board’s Film in Singapore! Scheme.
Approximately three episodes of the 16-part mega television series were shot in key locations as part of an STB initiative to help boost visitor arrivals. Show’s producer is Kim Yun Cheul, who was also behind the popular Korean drama series My Lovely Samsoon.
Que Sera Sera boasts a stellar cast headlined by Eric Mun, from Korean boy-band Shinhwa, as well as Jung Yoo Mi, Lee Kyu Han and Yoon Ji Hye. Story revolves around the lives of four young people including a girl from the countryside who comes to Seoul to look for her brother. While working in a department store, she falls in love and fights through difficult odds to be with her true love.
The drama debuted on March 17 on South Korea’s Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation (MBC). Slightly disappointing ratings for the pilot episode were partly attributed to a clash with televised soccer. Korean viewers can catch a 70-minute episode of the series on prime time on Saturday and Sunday, from 9.55-11.05pm. Past episodes will also be aired on IMBC.com and MBC drama cable TV channel.
STB’s Film in Singapore! Scheme also facilitated last year’s Bollywood blockbuster Krrish, starring Hrithik Roshan and Priyanka Chopra, as well as the 40-episode China dramedy Super Mates, due to air in 2007 and distributed in the U.S., Canada, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Malaysia, Taiwan and Singapore. Ten projects have been filmed in Singapore under the scheme since its launch in 2004. STB’s relationships with the Korean film, music and arts scene include having supported TV drama Wonderful Life, starring Kim Jae Won and Yoo Jin, popular Korean movie Sweet, Brutal Lovers, and a Korean music video with celebrity Won Woo.
