Hong Kong / Taipei – STAR has promoted Jason Siu as General Manager of STAR Taiwan, effective May 1, 2007.  Siu replaces Wayne Chou who is resigning, and both will work for a smooth transition in the following weeks. Reporting to Paul Aiello, Chief Executive Officer of STAR, Siu will lead STAR’s broadcasting operations in Taiwan.

 
Siu was General Manager, Chinese Programming, responsible for developing STAR Taiwan’s programming since March 2006. He joined STAR in 2000, and was Associate Vice President of STAR Chinese Movies in 2004 handling movie acquisition and programme scheduling.

 
Aiello regards Siu’s 15 years’ of industry experience as pivotal to lead the business in Taiwan and thanked Chou for having put in place a strong management and operations team.
