Hong Kong / Taipei – STAR has promoted Jason Siu as General Manager of STAR Taiwan, effective May 1, 2007. Siu replaces Wayne Chou who is resigning, and both will work for a smooth transition in the following weeks. Chinese DVD spending to hit US$500 million by 2010
London - Media analyst Screen Digest has released findings on the home entertainment market in China. It reports that almost 70 million DVDs were sold to Chinese consumers in 2006 for approximately US$115 million, and forecasts the amount to exceed US$500m by 2010.
