Media Partners Asia release findings on Asia Pacific pay-TV and broadband markets
Hong Kong- Media Partners Asia (MPA) reported a record 12.5 million new digital set-top boxes were installed in 2006 with net new digital subscription to peak at 30 million by 2010, driven by China, India, Korea, Japan and Australasia. Regional pay-TV penetration is expected to top 50% after 2011 and 55% by 2015 with almost half of total pay-TV homes having a digital set-top box by 2015.
