Indonesia’s Antara seeks Rp 450 billion in upgrade aid
Jakarta - State-owned news agency LKBN Antara has asked the Indonesia government for a Rp 450 billion (US$35.8 million) bailout to upgrade its capabilities. CEO Ahmad Muklis Yusuf said that the agency had submitted the proposal for the bailout funds to the State Ministry for State Enterprises, which oversees state companies. Antara is currently operating at a financial loss, bringing in only 25 percent revenues of its operating costs.
