Australia's Seven has signed an exclusive content deal for shows from Granada International's current slate including Life Begins, William and Mary, as well as new series Lewis and My Boy Jack, to debut in 2008. ATF 2007 generates a record US$62.7 million worth of deals
Singapore: The 8th edition of the Asia Television Forum (ATF) closed Nov 30 with deals totaling a record US$62.7 million, surpassing ATF 2006's US$47.1 million mark by 33%. Singapore's Character Farm and distributor Six-Six-Eight licensed Katakune, a CGI animated series about a silkworm, to Japan's Hi Corporation to bring the character to mobile platforms. EuroNews to broadcast in Arabic in 2008
EuroNews has won the European Union's call for tenders to extend its news channel offering to produce and broadcast programming in Arabic, the eighth language version by EuroNews. The Arabic service will be launched in 2008 and broadcast across EuroNews' network of 35 satellites to be available worldwide.
