Hong Kong – Leveraging economic growth, investment and competition, Asia’s pay-TV and broadband industries have grown at an average annual rate of 22% in the past five years, and generated more than US$53b in sales in 2007. The figure is projected to rise at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 11% to hit US$86b by 2012, and on a longer term, to grow at a CAGR of 8% to reach US$120b by 2017. China Netcom debuts online TV platform
Chinese fixed line telco China Netcom (CN) has launched the Video Network Plan broadband platform to offer online TV viewing services.
