Sunnyvale, CA /Shanghai, China – Telegent Systems, the company that makes television mobile announced that Ron Kao has joined Telegent as vice president of Asia Pacific. In this role, Kao is responsible for the development of Telegent’s Asia organization and will be a key contributor towards furthering Telegent’s goal of leveraging strong teams in both the US and China to build a market leading position globally in delivering entertainment to every screen. Prior to Telegent, Kao was the senior director and general manager of Broadcom’s Taiwan Design Center and Asia Business Development, responsible for product development, customer support, and strategic partnerships in the region. In addition to Kao’s appointment, Esther Liu, who previously served as vice president at SMIC where she drove marketing and sales since 2006, has joined Telegent as vice president of government affairs and M&A in China. Fang Li, who joined Telegent approximately one year ago from Motorola, has been promoted to vice president of China sales. At Motorola, Fang was senior director of the mobile device group, where he held responsibility for the product portfolio, product marketing and operator account management. Weijie Yun, Telegent co-founder, continues to hold responsibility for sales with customers in Taiwan and Korea.
