
SLL has secured a licensing deal with Mexico’s TelevisaUnivision for the Spanish-dubbed version of its hit Korean drama My ID is Gangnam Beauty. Through the agreement, the series is set to premiere on Canal 5 in August 2026, further expanding SLL’s presence in the Latin American market.
Based on the popular webtoon of the same name, My ID is Gangnam Beauty tells the story of Kang Mi-rae, a young woman who undergoes plastic surgery after enduring years of bullying over her appearance. As she begins university, she embarks on a journey of self-discovery while confronting society’s beauty standards, navigating new relationships, and learning to embrace her true self.
The deal marks another milestone in SLL’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its footprint across Latin America, where demand for Korean content continues to grow. By bringing My ID is Gangnam Beauty to one of Mexico’s leading free-to-air television networks, SLL aims to reach an even broader audience and further reinforce the global appeal of its premium drama portfolio.
