By concluding fresh content deals with these major Hollywood content suppliers, ROCK Networks has further solidified the position of its ROCK Action and ROCK Entertainment brands as the region’s leading destination for blockbuster action films and top-rated U.S. TV series delivered on an “Early Access” basis.
The latest deal with Paramount Global Content Distribution deepens ROCK Networks’ relationship with Paramount for U.S. TV series and feature films. On the TV front, ROCK Entertainment will continue to be the home of the newest NCIS seasons, the #1 scripted series on U.S. network television. ROCK Entertainment will be doubling down on NCIS, having also picked up the NCIS: Tony & Ziva spin-off that will be first run on the channel in 2025. The sci-fi epic Halo, Spiderwick Chronicles, and season two of Poker Face are also part of the deal. The feature package includes a selection of Tom Cruise’s most iconic films, including Minority Report, Collateral, and Days of Thunder, as well as recent theatrical hits like Rocketman and the Star Trek franchise including Star Trek (2009), Star Trek VII: Generations, Star Trek VIII: First Contact, Star Trek IX: Insurrection and Star Trek X: Nemesis.
ROCK Networks’ newest deal with Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE) includes a diverse range of more than 50 movies and series titles, adding to the significant volume of content already under license from SPE. Action-packed feature titles include Hellboy, Bad Boys I & II, Hancock, Terminator Salvation, and Total Recall. The deal also consists of the highly anticipated second season of Accused. This gripping drama series will premiere on FOX in the U.S. this October and exclusively on ROCK Entertainment in Hong Kong, Indonesia, Macau, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.
ROCK Networks and Lionsgate have also extended their existing relationship in the features and series space. The recently inked deal brings action thrillers and popular franchises to the ROCK Networks’ channels, including the Twilight Saga, The Eye, Red 1 & 2, Bangkok Dangerous, and Shanghai. Additionally, the hit legal drama, Burden of Truth was secured as part of the deal for U.S. TV series.
To further strengthen ROCK Networks’ lineup with some of U.S. television’s most iconic and beloved shows, ROCK Networks has signed another exciting content deal with NBCUniversal Global TV Distribution. This new agreement brings back the latest seasons of Law & Order: SVU, and Chicago Med, as well as late-night fan favourite talk shows such as The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and Late Night with Seth Meyers to ROCK Entertainment across Asia.
In addition to these significant studio deals, ROCK Networks has secured agreements with key independent distributors for newly released first-run films. Notable titles include The Piper, starring Elizabeth Hurley, The Chosen Family, featuring Heather Graham; and Enter the Clones of Bruce Lee.
“With these exciting new content partnerships, ROCK Networks continues to provide our audience with unmatched access to some of the world’s most iconic movies and series,” said Beatrice Lee, CEO of ROCK Networks. “Our viewers can expect even more high-octane action, compelling drama, and unforgettable storytelling as we expand our lineup with fresh and thrilling content.”
