Home is something that is near and dear to our hearts and HGTV will be there for our viewers – whether they are looking for ideas to transform their living spaces, to take a sneak peek into their dream homes or simply be entertained and uplifted by the emotional journeys of our HGTV personalities. I am also thrilled to be able to bring our brightest HGTV stars to Asia soon and give StarHub viewers a hands-on HGTV experience.”
Lee Soo Hui, Head of Media Business Unit, StarHub added, “We have had the pleasure of providing our customers with all of Scripps Networks’ lifestyle channels in Asia, from Asian Food Channel to Food Network to Travel Channel and now HGTV. We are now thrilled that StarHub TV customers will not only be the first in Asia, but the first outside of North America to enjoy HGTV’s range of quality content. As Singapore has one of the highest home ownership rates in the world, we are confident that customers will identify with the channel’s home-focused programming. In addition to delivering the channel in high definition, we will work closely with Scripps to bring customers closer to their favourite HGTV personalities in the near future.”
HGTV will be available on the Lifestyle Basic HD Upsize. To give all StarHub TV customers a taste of the channel, a free preview will be held from launch to 30 June 2015. StarHub TV customers will need an HD set-top box to view the channel.
