NATPE, Miami – Keshet International (KI) has licensed its children’s music talent show MASTER CLASS to Teledoce (La Tele), Uruguay’s leading free-to-air channel as it ramps up its presence within the Latin American region. The deal marks the first original KI format to be adapted for audiences in Uruguay and will be the first ever Spanish-language version of the show.
Produced in house at Teledoce, the 26 x 90’ local version will launch in late Spring; casting for the show is currently underway. Eugenio Restano, Programming Manager at Teledoce, said, “We’re delighted to be working with Keshet International to bring this immensely popular, proven ratings-winning programme to audiences across Uruguay. This isn’t just a talent show; it’s a TV event for the whole family.”
Kelly Wright, Head of Latin America at Keshet International, said, “MASTER CLASS allows viewers to spend a magical couple of hours each week with children as they learn about and sing classic songs at this gifted music school. We are delighted to share it with Uruguayan audiences for the first time as Teledoce leads the first Spanish-language rollout of this internationally successful format.”
Originally created by Yoav Tzafir, Tamira Yardeni and Zvika Hadar and produced by Tedy Productions for Keshet Broadcasting, MASTER CLASS is one of KI’s most successful formats. It is one of the highest-rated talent shows in Israel to date and has become a breakthrough hit in territories such as Hungary, China, Greece and Slovenia. Latin America is a major market for KI, it has already had success in Uruguay, having previously sold the Spanish version of its explosive format BOOM! to Canal 10 and the Argentinian version of Rising Star/Elegidos to Monte Carlo TV – Uruguay’s second longest running channel.
