Singapore – ELEVEN SPORTS NETWORK has signed a multi-year agreement with FINA to bring Live and exclusive action from the FINA/air weave Swimming World Cup 2016 to fans in Singapore. Swimming fans will be able to follow action from eight events from this year’s World Cup on TV, online and mobile via the ELEVEN SPORTS digital service, with Rio 2016 Olympic Games 100m butterfly champion Joseph Schooling set to star in the pool throughout the circuit.
The competition kicks off today (Friday 26 August) at the L’Odyssée Swimming Pool in Paris-Chartres, France, and fans can follow Singaporean swimmers Ji Chao Benedict Boon, Wei Yang Malcolm Low, Li Hui Genevieve Lye and Nur Marina Shi Min Alif Abdullah Chan, as they compete in the pool.
Other top swimming stars on show this weekend include last year’s overall Swimming World Cup winners Katinka Hosszu (Hungary) and Cameron Van der Burgh (South Africa), Rio 2016 Olympic Games bronze medalist Chad Le Clos (South Africa), two-time Rio 2016 silver medalist Madeline Groves (Australia), and Breeja Larson (USA).
Action from seven more FINA/air weave Swimming World Cup 2016 meets will also be showcased on ELEVEN SPORTS NETWORK this year, including Berlin from 30-31 August, Moscow from 3-4 September, Beijing from 30 September-1 October, Dubai from 4-5 October, Doha from 8-9 October, Tokyo from 25-26 October, and the last leg of the circuit in Hong Kong from 29-30 October.
