Singapore- AETN All Asia Networks (AAAN), the new joint venture of A&E Television Networks and ASTRO All Asia Networks, has poached executives from other regional broadcasters to run the company. Louis Boswell joins as General Manager, Michele Schofield as Director of Content – Programming, Acquisitions & Production, and Connie Lai as Director of Marketing. AETN All Asia Networks will launch and operate branded channels and services across Southeast Asia, Hong Kong and Taiwan. It plans to launch The History Channel and Crime & Investigation Network in Q2 and Q3 2007. Signing on in July, Boswell will manage all programming, marketing and financial activities for AAAN and its brands, and oversee affiliate distribution, advertising sales, network operations, production and digital media deployment. He joins from ESPN STARSports, where he is Senior Director, Affiliate & Multimedia Sales, developing and implementing distribution strategy for traditional and digital media platforms, including mobile, DMB/DVB-H, Internet and IPTV. Prior to that, Boswell was Territory Manager, China and Hong Kong, for BBC Worldwide.
