Singapore– Caldecott Productions International Pte Ltd won a First Place Gold Camera award and a Third Place Certificate of Creative Excellence in the U.S. International Film and Video Festival competition. Clinching first place in the ‘Documentary-Arts’ category was Voiceless Art, a film about three different artists and their visions of Indonesian society. Winning the Certificate of Creative Excellence in the ‘Documentary-Environmental Issues and Concerns’ category was The Mud, a documentary about the mudflow in Indonesia. Both documentaries were directed by Marcel Hartawan, filmed by Espri, written and produced by Ong Hee Yah. The U.S. International Film and Video Festival was founded in 1967 to recognize corporate, documentary, educational, entertainment and student productions. The festival celebrated its 40th anniversary this year with winners from 23 countries. The screening of winning works and awards ceremony was scheduled for June 2 at the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel in Los Angeles.
