Screening on Tuesdays at 2200 hrs (SIN/HK), Discovery Channel’s six-part documentary series, Everest: Beyond the Limit, premiered on May 22, 2007. Made with advanced high-altitude video technology including cameras on Sherpas’ helmets, the series documents an 11-member expedition led by veteran climber Russell Brice to the summit of Mount Everest in April and May 2006. A 17-strong production team followed the group of climbers who included New Zealander Mark Inglis, the first double amputee to reach that peak. Everest: Beyond the Limit was produced by Tigress Productions. The sequel will cover a a second climbing team’s attempt to scale Mount Everest.
