With over 125 hours of action content in its catalogue, London producer and distributor, Power, continues to find success with its high-adrenaline TV movies, series and mini series and has recently concluded a number of deals around the world.
Starring Eric Dane (Grey’s Anatomy) and Kathleen Robertson (Beverly Hills, 90210) The Fixer (2 x 2 hours) tells the story of disaster investigator Ellie (Kathleen Robertson). Suspicious of the “official answers” to an oilrig disaster, she spearheads a private investigation with a secret tipster named Carter (Eric Dane). He claims that a conspiracy of “Fixers” are behind the worst disasters in the country, all rigged to manipulate the stock market and reap billions for a select few. Preparing for their largest operation in decades, it seems the only way they can succeed is if Ellie and Carter are among the casualties. 2+2 channel will air The Fixer in Ukraine, Fox International Channels has picked up the show for Hungary and Pop TV has licensed it for Slovenia.
MVS has finalised a deal for four of Power’s action-packed dramas for Latin America including: Shark Killer (1 x 2 hours), Beyond Justice (1 x 2 hours), Badge of Honor (1 x 2 hours) and The Mercenary: Absolution (1 x 2hours). Starring Steven Seagal (Above the Law, Under Siege, Into the Sun) The Mercenary: Absolution tells the story of John, a contract killer and his partner Chi (Byron Mann), a former member of the Hong Kong Triads. When John and Chi accept a job in Eastern Europe they unearth a Human Trafficking ring run by a businessman known only as The Boss (Vinnie Jones). An explosive battle between these killers results in John and Chi destroying the ring and finding personal absolution for all their past misdeeds. Mediaset has licensed the movie for Italy, SKY has picked it up for New Zealand, and Anchor Bay Entertainment (now known as Defiant Screen Entertainment) has picked up home entertainment and digital rights for Australia and New Zealand. Badge of Honor and Beyond Justice have also been licensed by SKY and Defiant.
Shark Killer, tells the story of a shark hunter enlisted to track down a great black-finned shark that has swallowed a valuable diamond. The TV Movie has been picked up by FTV Prima in the Czech Republic and will air on 2+2 in Ukraine.
