Denver – OmniBus Systems, provider of broadcast automation and content management solutions, is expanding its operations in Asia-Pacific. It has established sales and support staff in Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore, as well as a network of value-added resellers throughout Indo-China, Australia, New Zealand and India. The company’s expansion is in response to “strong regional interest” in the company’s technologies and recent major broadcast installations by NDTV, Astro, TV3, Discovery and Ascent Media. To support customers in the region, OmniBus has recruited a network of specialists in IT and broadcast, and will continue to take in qualified personnel as operations in Asia-Pacific scale up. According to Laurie Mascott, EVP EMEA and APAC, OmniBus, Asia Pacific players are taking an “aggressive approach” to IPTV and mobile platform development, and that there is “strong interest” in advanced software-based automation, playout and content management systems which integrate readily into multi-platform workflows, including OmniBus’ iTX and OPUS.
