Singapore – Andrew Hanna, Managing Director of Sparrowhawk Media in Asia Pacific, will leave the company at the end of January ‘to pursue new opportunities’ thus concluding the Sparrowhawk chapter in Asia. Raymund Miranda, Managing Director Asia, Global Networks, has been confirmed as leader of the integrated Global Networks operations in Asia, following NBC Universal’s acquisition of Sparrowhawk Media in October. Roma Khanna, President of NBC Universal Global Networks, commented, “Asia is a high priority focus for NBC Universal’s Global Networks and Raymund is set to lead a highly dynamic growth operation in the region. Sparrowhawk has overseen a revitalization of the Hallmark Channel in Asia Pacific and Andrew’s stewardship of the business in the region has been first class. After the acquisition of Sparrowhawk Media, we committed to an efficient and carefully considered integration of the business into NBCU and with Andrew’s help, we have met that plan, whilst retaining the terrific profile that the Hallmark Channel has in the region.” She continued, “We have kept all of the momentum that the Sparrowhawk team developed in the business and Andrew has now handed over the running of the Hallmark Channel and new business activities in Asia Pacific to Raymund Miranda.”
