Australian Broadcasting Corporation’s (ABC) talk show Enough Rope with Andrew Denton saw the March 31, 2008 interview with retired Australian Football League player Wayne Carey hit top ratings. According to ratings data from OzTam, the episode notched a five-city average audience of 1,498,000 and a five-city people share of 36.4%. The show won its timeslot in all cities, and was highest rated in Melbourne where the audience reached 623,000 and people share was 42.8%. The episode was also the highest rated program on ABC1 across the five cities, in Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth. In addition, the episode helped the show to its highest audience ever in Melbourne and Perth, and for the 5 cities combined, drew an audience that is just below that of The Danish Royal Special episode which registered an audience of 1,539,000 on February 28, 2005. Enough Rope with Andrew Denton is an ABC TV and Zapruder’s other films co-production, executive produced by Andrew Denton and Anita Jacoby.
