Singapore – Christopher Williams has been appointed to the newly-created role of vice president, commercial & network development Asia Pacific, Global Networks, NBC Universal (NBCU). Based in Singapore, Williams reports Greg Matson, senior vice president, commercial & network development, Global Networks, NBCU in the UK. He will take up a leadership role in developing new channel businesses in new Asia Pacific territories and will work with Raymund Miranda, managing director Asia Pacific, Global Networks, NBCU and his teams to build new businesses and enhance commercial relationships in the region. Williams was formerly vice president – business development, distribution and digital media for Walt Disney Television Asia Pacific/Disney ABC International Television, based in Hong Kong, where he led all of Disney’s TV business development activities including roll out of Disney’s channels and digital media initiatives across the region. He was also the acting channel manager for Disney Channel and Playhouse Disney Channel in Hong Kong for the past 2 years.
