Hong Kong – AETN All Asia Networks Pte Ltd (AAAN) and now TV announced that The Biography Channel (BIO) debuted in Hong Kong on July 21. BIO debuted in Hong Kong on now TV channel 222, complete with Chinese subtitling. In addition to Hong Kong, Singapore and the Philippines, the distribution agreements for other parts of the region are expected in the coming months to build on BIO’s viewership of 67 million TV households in 23 territories. As the third AAAN channel to debut in the region, BIO follows the now TV launch of The History Channel (channel 223) and Crime & Investigation Network (channel 525) stablemates. Louis Boswell, general manager of AETN All Asia Networks said, “We are delighted to launch the channel in partnership with now TV. This channel is dedicated to real people and their real stories, no matter whether they are famous or ordinary people with extraordinary stories to tell. There is an infinite supply of real – life stories to tell here in Asia, and we look forward to telling them.”
