Singapore – SingTel has announced the pricing for mioTV’s new service, Season Pass. From September 8, customers can catch the latest season of Hollywood hit TV shows as well as brand new shows from S$16.05 (US$11.20) per series. As reported in TVA+ Executive News July 28 2008, Season Pass – the latest on-demand service from SingTel – offers customers the opportunity to watch the latest seasons of hit television shows as early as 24 hours after their US telecast time. Starting in September are the latest seasons from the best of US primetime programming such as Gossip Girl, Grey’s Anatomy, Criminal Minds, Prison Break and Ugly Betty, as well as brand new shows Privileged, Fringe, The Mentalist. These shows will be made available through the Season Pass on-demand service on a per series purchase basis. All series will be available for viewing up to one month after the telecast of its last episode. Low Ka Hoe, SingTel’s director of mio TV and content said, “The arrival of Season Pass heralds a new beginning in TV viewing in Singapore. Customers will no longer have to wait for these titles to be shown on free-to-air TV or pay TV six to nine months after they are telecast in the US. They no longer are tied to programming schedules, as we allow them to select and watch the latest episode of their favourite TV series from our extensive library of on-demand titles whenever they want to.”
