Singapore – A spokesperson for MTV Asia has stated that the company is not going through a restructure exercise, and that “apart from (SVP) Ian Stewart’s plans to leave there are no other exits planned.” “On the contrary, we are building the business,” she continued. “Viacom Brands Solution (VBS) continues to operate as a distinct business unit. In addition to the pan-regional advertising service, we are adding a VBS Solutions service to best exploit country level opportunities. “This additional VBS service will provide in-depth and targeted propositions to specific needs on country level, giving MTVNI’s clients strategic, integrated marketing solutions to drive their brand and business objectives.” Asked whether the London office would have less influence over Asia the spokesperson said that the VBS operation in Singapore will continue to exploit opportunities on a regional and local level. “Central functions will continue where scale pays and connection across markets benefits local businesses.”
