Beyond Productions is into production on a new children’s television series, based on the best-seller Dorling Kindersley book, Crime Scene Detective. Crime Scene Detective is a children’s programme where kids solve real mysteries with a hands-on approach to forensics. The series gives viewers the chance to play along and learn real-life detective skills. Beyond has pre-sold the series to Super RTL, Seven Network Australia and Television Ontario. The same three broadcasters were also onboard for Beyond’s previous hit series, Backyard Science, that was also based on a Dorling Kindersley book. Launch of the new 52 x 15 minute or 26 x 30 minute series is scheduled for next year. Filming is set to begin immediately and final delivery will be mid 2009. Beyond Distribution will represent the programme with worldwide rights available.
