Mumbai/London – Allan McKeown Presents Ltd continues to expand in India. Mumbai Calling, the seven-part comedy series based in a Mumbai call centre had its world-wide premier in India on HBO Asia on November 8. HBO India is airing it before ITV who will air the series in the Spring. The show was filmed in Mumbai and has seen strong international sales to date in territories including Canada, Australia, South Africa, Asia, the Middle East and Scandinavia. Originally commissioned for ITV, the show will be air internationally throughout 2009. Allan McKeown Presents’ investments has now been set at £10million (US$15 million) in 2009/10, with potential to create three original television series in India. One of these shows in development is the company’s most ambitious work to date is the drama series BHAI (brother or ‘don’ in Hindi).
