Kuala Lumpur – AETN All Asia Networks (AAAN) and The National Film Development Corporation of Malaysia (FINAS) announced a co-production deal worth at least US$800,000 to make eight hours of original content for the HISTORY channel, Crime & Investigation Network and The Biography Channel. The programmes will be produced by Malaysian production companies and feature Malaysian stories across the three channel genres. Louis Boswell, general manager, AETN All Asia Networks said,”This is a landmark deal for us and underlines our commitment to localizing our channels. We want to bring our viewers the very best of both International and Asian content. We are delighted to be working with FINAS in Malaysia, one of the biggest and most important television markets in the region. We believe there is a wealth of great untold stories from Malaysia and we look forward to showcasing these on HISTORY, Crime & Investigation Network and BIO.”
