London – FremantleMedia, one of the largest creators and producers of entertainment brands in the world, celebrates the success of Take A Celebrity Out as it dominates the ratings charts across all channels in Indonesia. Take A Celebrity Out, a co-production between FremantleMedia Asia and leading Indonesian network INDOSIAR, launched in the highly competitive 8:00pm prime-time slot on 25 January 2010 and was Indonesia’s highest rated show of the day. The programme attracted an audience of 3.5 million and a viewing share of 27.1 per cent, exceeding the broadcaster’s average by 90 percent. Take A Celebrity Out is a star-studded twist on one of Indonesia’s favourite programmes, Take Me Out, with a male celebrity searching for love among 30 famous single ladies. Take Me Out was developed by FremantleMedia in France, and was first commissioned in Australia. The format has since travelled around the world to countries such as Denmark, The Netherlands, Sweden, Spain, and the UK.
