Global Agency has secured Italy as the first international market for The Greatest Duo, its new weekly prime-time singing relationship competition. Following its spectacular world-premiere screening at MIPCOM Cannes, The Greatest Duo has secured its first international deal, marking an exciting start to its global journey.
Leading Italian production company Endemol has acquired the rights to the format.
Global Agency unveiled the project at the Olympia Cinema before around 100 invited guests, including international format buyers and media representatives. The screening introduced a competition with a different measure of success: not simply how well a singer performs, but whether two people have what it takes to succeed together.
The Greatest Duo is a relationship competition told through music, where every performance tests the bond between two people. Couples, relatives and friends enter together, but individual scores can pull them apart. In The Choice, the strongest surviving singer faces a heartbreaking decision: stay loyal to their original partner or choose another voice for a chance to win the competition.
