Sphere Abacus acquires worldwide distribution rights for feature documentary – Kubrick’s War: The Making of Full Metal Jacket

Sphere Abacus (SA) has acquired worldwide distribution rights for Kubrick’s War: The Making of Full Metal Jacket, produced in the UK by NorthSouth Film Company, in association with producers Matthew Modine and Adam Rackoff’s US-based production company Cinco Dedos Peliculas and Supercloud Studios.
Full Metal Jacket is one of the most influential war films of the 20th century and this unique documentary opens the door to exclusive interviews, stunning visuals and unseen archival footage, bringing Kubrick’s vision to life.
The 125-minute feature-length documentary explores the making of Stanley Kubrick’s landmark Vietnam War film. Kubrick’s War: The Making of Full Metal Jacket was filmed in London, New York and Los Angeles. This exceptional film is directed by Stephen Rigg (Kubrick’s Universe) and produced and written by Hank Starrs (RoboDoc) and Stephen Rigg.  Executive produced by four-time Emmy® Award-winning producer Jarratt Carson and Jim Devericks, Liam Dunne, James Hancock, Amer Hilal, Adrian Lord and Oren Manelis.
Starring Stanley Kubrick (Spartacus, Dr. Strangelove, A Clockwork Orange, The Shining), Matthew Modine (Full Metal Jacket, The Dark Knight Rises, Oppenheimer, Stranger Things), Vincent D’Onofrio (Full Metal Jacket, Men in Black, The Magnificent Seven, Law & Order: Criminal Intent), and Arliss Howard (Tequila Sunrise, The Lost World: Jurassic Park, True Colors, Oppenheimer).
Selected ‘in competition’ for Sitges – International Fantastic Film Festival of Catalonia, Kubrick’s War: The Making of Full Metal Jacket is edited by award-winning Italian Chiara Armentano (Ming of Harlem: 21 Storeys in the Air) and features more than 30 interviews with a host of creative talent who collaborated with Stanley Kubrick on Full Metal Jacket and includes never-before-released audio footage of rehearsals at Pinewood Studios, during this immersive journey back to the 1980s.
