RTL and Signal.Stream announce Catch Us If You Can

October 8, 2025 by TVA Editor

RTL Creative Unit and Signal.Stream have joined forces for Catch Us If You Can, a continent-spanning reality game where six celebrity teams hunt three famous targets across Europe. The format is co-developed by RTL Creative Unit, the co-creators of RTL’s hit formats B&B of Love and The Traitors and Signal.Stream, the streaming-first format studio behind hits such as Most Wanted, Know Where To Hide and The Heist. The series is currently in production and will premiere exclusively on Videoland, RTL’s Dutch streaming service, on 25 October 2025.

In Catch Us If You Can, the chase kicks off live from a studio setting, where the Gamemaster sets the rules and sends the players into the chase. Three celebrities become living targets. They get a one-hour head start to secure a secret hideout somewhere in Europe – from iconic capitals to hidden villages. But in a world where every phone can betray you, can you really stay hidden? With the public watching, filming, and tipping off, every passerby becomes part of the chase.

Within twelve hours, the targets must lock their final hideout. From that moment, the game is on: six celebrity duos track them down, one mission at a time. Each duo chooses which target to pursue, and they can switch targets daily. Meanwhile, the targets face public challenges assigned by the Gamemaster, risking exposure with every move. Every night, the team furthest behind faces elimination. Every step is visible to the audience, and every public tip can turn the game upside down.

Wouter van der Pauw, Signal.Stream’s founder, commented, “With Catch Us If You Can, we set out to create a chase competition that doesn’t just play out on screen, but also in the hands of the audience. Viewers don’t just watch – they shape the game. It’s a new kind of format, built for the streaming generation, kicking off live from the studio. From the tip line to the daily eliminations, viewers drive the tension. Piloted on YouTube and refined with audience feedback, it now arrives on Videoland at a European scale.”

Ralph de Beurs, Creative Director, RTL Creative Unit, said, “We aim to create formats for Videoland that truly stand out.” The collaboration with Signal.Stam has proven highly successful, thanks to their innovative approach to developing and producing new concepts. Catch Us If You Can combines the energy of a live studio show with the unpredictability of a real-world chase across Europe. It’s a format where different storylines converge, and where the audience has the power to shape the game.”

Catch Us If You Can is co-developed by RTL Creative Unit and Signal.Stream, in collaboration with Talpa Studios’ brand StukTV. The format originates from the exclusive partnership between StukTV and Videoland, with all three parties joining creative forces.
