China Bridge Content, the New York-based content and consulting firm founded by 12-time Emmy Award-winning creator Josh Selig (The Wonder Pets, 3rd & Bird, Small Potatoes), has announced its latest project, music-based animated series The C-Pops! The project is a partnership with China’s leading animation studio, Perfect World Animation.
A spin-off of the number-one rated Chinese mega-hit show Rainbow Crew, The C-Pops! features the musical adventures of an adorable four-part pop group. Made up of super-cute band members Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall, The C-Pops! sing their way through a series of adventures as they travel around in their Song Pods and try to overcome everyday problems with the help of a C-Pop song that they write and perform. Each episode is centred around a new C-Pop song written by a popular China-Pop artist with lyrics containing the solution to the problem the band are facing – whether it’s persuading a monkey to eat less junk food or trying to stop a giant Robo Cat from scaring people!
Grounded in a strong educational curriculum, The C-Pops! is designed to nurture children’s music appreciation while enhancing their creative problem-solving skills and fostering teamwork. The curriculum was written by early childhood expert Dr. Christine Ricci, whose credits include animated international pre-school hits Dora the Explorer, Blaze and the Monster Machines, and Go, Diego, Go!

The C-Pops! will be produced in partnership with Perfect World Animation, the creative arm of iHuman Inc., a leading US-listed provider of tech-powered, intellectual development products in China. China Bridge will be introducing the show to potential partners at MIP Junior and MIPCOM.
